Our Accelerated BKU Class kicked things off at the factory on Thursday, August 2nd, with a welcome dinner and our Outdoor Lighting Techniques, which showcases various lighting techniques in situ.
Similar to our full program, attendees were welcomed to the facility the next morning per a traditional BKU orientation. The day progressed through the time-honored classes from Dare to Compare to the ever popular New Product Showcase. Attendees had the hands-on experience as students learned about as well as made their very own Nite Star™ with Adjust-e-Lume® technology. From machining the body to learning about gluing the cap, nothing was left out.
Of course, the Accelerated BKU session is small for a reason.
“Very concise, small group of designers allow targeted information to be disseminated efficiently!” said Jack Lim, Senior Lighting Designer at ARUP in San Francisco, CA.
The 2018 Accelerated BKU Class consisted of:
- • Jack Lim, ARUP - San Francisco, CA
- • Leslie Siegel, Associated Lighting Representatives, Inc. - Oakland, CA
- • Zackry Wiegand, Hiram Banks Lighting Design - San Francisco, CA
- • Yuki Anzai, WSP USA - San Francisco, CA
- • Janelle Drouet, ARUP - San Francisco, CA
- • Ryan Delaney, Associated Lighting Representatives, Inc. - Oakland, CA
- • Jonathan Bredenkamp, Associated Lighting Representatives, Inc. - Oakland, CA
- • Alexandra Deahl, Architecture & Light - San Francisco, CA
- • Prestin Calvillo, ARUP - San Francisco, CA
Congratulations to our newest graduates!
Traditionally, BKU Sessions are held over four-day periods in March and November. But, we have had so many requests for factory tours and product training that we decided to offer a scaled down version that would take no longer than one full day.
