We received so many questions of great significance and they all deserved to be answered. If you have any further questions – Ask – we will deliver!
Thank you for your astute observations and inquisitive minds,
Nathan Sloan
President and CEO, B-K Lighting+TEKA Illumination
1. What does BK stand for?
A. If you didn’t believe me when I said Beer Kan, hopefully the real answer will make more sense. Two of the original founding members carried the initials of B.K. When the group was forming the company all the names they submitted to the state were denied. Essentially, at the eleventh hour they submitted B-K Lighting, Inc. and that stuck.
2. Does the TY2 temporary installation cover fit on a 5-gallon bucket?
A. Technically, it fits on top of the open end of a 5-gallon bucket. However, I believe the intention of the question was to ascertain whether the cover would sit down over the top of an open bucket. I proved with a photo that the latter is not true.
3. Can GFI plug on (TEKA) bollard accommodate a 50-amp food truck plug?
A. As a standard product offering, no. Due to the depth of the plug itself and the radius needed for the cord to exit the bottom of the outlet cover, a custom product would need to be ordered. However, this would not be a difficult custom for us to manufacture! Call our customs sales department for your quote.
4. Is there a rule of thumb for max distance remote drivers can be placed?
A. The short answer is no. However, there are many calculators that exist, specifically the driver manufacturers, to help solve this question. There are several factors that play into the equation and you’ll simply need to plug those in.
