QUESTION: April's 2013 issue of Starlines referenced quite a few sign stars used on facades on the Ben Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.  What exactly are the mounting options for a Sign Star™ fixture?

ANSWER: Sign Star™ fixtures can be mounted in three standard options shown below, left to right.

The first option is our standard mounting canopy that mounts directly to a standard junction box on an architectural surface.  With this usage this power sources are remote.

The second mounting option shown in the center of the image is the Power Canopy™. A PC may be wall mounted, with or without a recessed junction box. Its wet location listing allows it to be mounted indoors or outside and most often used with an integral transformer.

The third mounting option shown far right is the Universal Power Module (UPM) and can be mounted vertically, horizontally and available in surface mount and camlock junction box.
