The Barnes' reflecting pool is located just Northeast of the Pavilion building within the beautifully tended landscaping garden area along Pennsylvania Ave.
These red maple trees echo the vibrant colors of the collection's 19th and earlier 20th century holdings which include major works by notable artists such as Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Chaim Soutine, Henri Rousseau, Amedeo Modigliani, Edgar Degas, Vincent Van Gogh, and Georges Seurat.
Each red maple tree is individually lit by an Adjustable Well Star™ Solid State (BKSSL®) fixture helping maintain the Barnes Foundation's LEED Platinum certification.
