This traditional Spanish Colonial home was designed by Craig Bush Designs working in conjuncture with Greg Mackell's 186 Lighting Group along with Elements Interior Design Studio and B.C. Builders.

The home includes a wine cellar which the 186 Lighting Group wanted to bring special attention to through the use of light. Physically the stairwell which descends into the cellar is relatively small, perfectly graced by a wrought-iron railing. The immediacy of the antiquated New York used style brick-work and lack of overhead lighting presented a unique challenge.

The solution? Counter-sink a small, yet powerful LED fixture directly into the cantera stone steps and as Greg exclaims "The Mini-Micro's in every tread were the perfect solution. We were shooting for creating a mysterious entry [and the fixtures] graze the brick. One of my favorite stair designs we've ever done. Simple, but perfect!"
