The BKU Fall Class of 2015 was held from November 12 through November 15th and was packed with Sales Representatives, Lighting Designers, Landscape Designers and various other lighting related industry peers. (Be sure to click through the photo album below)
BKU students were treated to a vast array of classes. From New Product Showcase and our sought after Dare to Compare session, every class didn’t disappoint! Each class featured a prominent part of our GreenSource™ Initiative puzzle showing the companies sustainability at its finest.
Throughout the day, students learned about as well as made their very own Nite Star™. From machining the body to gluing the cap, nothing was left out. Speaking of gluing, the infamous gluemaster was chosen from the worst of the worst. This year’s “winner” was none other than Collin Brock of Bloc Design in Charlotte, North Carolina for his utter disregard of $847.25 worth of Nuva-Sil glue. The spoils of all his hard work? The “Frankenstar™” all dressed as Jason a la Friday, the 13th in honor of the date.
Another traditional event was the longest Distance contest. Who travelled the farthest? Tonya Moake Neely of Available Light, traveled 2,597 miles from Salem, Massachusetts, and the winner who placed the best guess was Ryan Culver with the guess of 2,600 miles.
During the Fall BKU session, and notably the end of our fiscal year, national Sales awards were given to our highly deserving Sales Representatives. Prudential Lighting Products was the big winner of the evening taking both B-K Lighting and TEKA Illumination’s Sales Representative of the Year Awards. Congratulations Prudential Lighting Products on a very successful year!
