Magic The-Gathering Cards

You may be surprised to also find that he recently helped to raise a literal ton of canned food for the community's local food banks and pantries.
Jennifer and Scott Ward began Crazy Squirrel Games in 2010 and have been hosting the food drive at their store and adjacent game room since the winter season of 2011. The 2 week long charity event has become known as "Feed Fresno" and is partitioned into 3 mini-drives organized by game theme.

Jennifer and Scott challenge customers and tournament participants to raise at least 2 tons of canned food each year reward players dependent on the results. Simply explained, the more food raised equals more lucrative prizes for tourney players.

Chris personally brought in a whopping 50 pounds of canned food before he started the Magic competition on December 3rd, tipping the scale to 1100 pounds! He happily reported on Monday, December 10th, Crazy Squirrel Games had surpassed the 2000 pound marker.

When asked why he plays Chris said, "I play for the social interaction, for the sense of community. It's a love for strategy games which first started when my Dad taught me chess around age 4. It's also because I love the fantasy genre and the artwork. The competition also includes a lot of characteristics of poker. Then there are the bragging rights and prize money too."

B-K Lighting and TEKA Illumination extend their appreciation and gratitude to Crazy Squirrel Games and their gamers for their charity and giving spirit this holiday season. We also like to offer our congratulations to Chris McCarthy for his second consecutive Magic tournament win!
