This year, Spring 2015 B-K University ran from March 12th through the 15th, 2015. Alpha Alpha Class was a great success with 58 participants from all over the country obtaining the coveted BKU alumni title.
Each semester we track the furthest distance traveled by a single attendee. Paula Ziegenbein of Hartranft Lighting Design, traveled 2,584 miles (as the crow flies) from Andover, MA.
As with every BKU we select the worst Gluemasters from each class and from their gluing disasters we select a supreme example. This year's "winner" was Chris Lovett of Engineering Partners in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was given this session’s infamous 'Friday the 13th' Themed Frankenstar award for his utter disregard of $893.46 worth of Nuva-Sil glue.
Congratulations to the graduates of BKU's Spring 2015 Alpha Alpha Class!
Since its inception in 2002, more than 1,300 lighting professionals including sales agents, landscape architects, lighting designers, specifiers, electrical engineers and architects have graduated from this one of a kind program and earned the "BKU Alumnus" title.
Held at B-K Lighting's headquarters in Madera, California, BKU is jointly produced and coordinated through the efforts of the staff of five companies that include: B-K Lighting, TEKA Illumination, Star Finishes, Blue Dolphin Design and Engineering and Etendue Cafe.
